I have just found out that Peter Bazalgette, the chairman of Endemol (The TV company that has devised Big Brother, amongst others) is the great-great-grandson of Joseph Bazalgette, the man who designed the London sewer system which is seen to be one of the greatest engineering feats the world has ever seen. It gives me some amusment to think that whilst one man devised a way to pump the shit out of our lives, his descendant has found a way to pump it all right back in again through shitty TV. :lol:
