Help! Software testers needed

Post by JohnMcafee »

I’m looking for help with the development of Pre-View.

Canon has stopped support for remote control in the compact camera range that integrated so well with Pre-View, and has no current models with this function. For now the best solution is to use one of the older model compacts, but in time that supply will dry up.

In the search for practical alternatives, I’m looking at the Canon EOS range and also webcams, and it is in the use of these cameras within Pre-View that I need feedback.

Software Tester Requirements:
  • Canon EOS camera (with LiveView), or a good quality webcam
  • Some programming experience would be nice, but not necessary
  • High frustration threshold and plenty of patience
  • The ability to describe in detail the program’s operation and/or events when things go wrong (Note: “x isn’t working”, is all but useless.)
If you have a camera, and would like to join a small group of testers who occasionally supply feedback, in return for a copy of the program, please respond by PM.
