Trying to source a similar moulding

Post by Kathy »

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can source a similar moulding to the Lion Manhattan M123-46, with a deeper rebate. Ideally looking for a rebate of 25mm. If this is not possible, any recommendations for a moulding that is flat and is silver/gunmetal and black.

This is the moulding http://www.lionpic.co.uk/product/40mm-' ... 354,0.aspx

Arqadia do the original (Larson Juhl, Manhattan) and Simons also do a version, neither has the depth you require, but an option could be to mitre that moulding on its side to make a box and cap it with either the same one, or a smaller one from the range.

Rose&Hollis do a flat obeche slip with a bevel, about 7mm thick. (18+7 = bingo) I find this very useful for extending rebates. Chop it so the bevel faces out and it looks very neat, especially if you paint it black. You can even use it right up to the edge of a moulding, although you have plenty of room here.
