Finding packaging

Post by pramsay13 »

I'm looking for the plastic covers that you use to cover prints / mounts. I'm only looking for around a dozen or so to start with and A4 size. The kind I have in mind are the ones that are folded around the back and get taped to hold it all together, although I'm not fussy.
What do you call them, and where can I get some? Do any of the wholesalers sell them, or is it a hobbycraft thing?

The bags I use are called film fronted bags. The size I buy is about 13" x 18" and the rear of the bag is made from thin white paper. For me it's one size fits all and it's easy to fold and tape any surplus behind the back of the bag.

I buy them by the box (1,000 bags) and it works out at about £35 per box, so roughly 3.5 pence per bag. I find them very good for all manner of uses. For some unknown reason, all larger sizes appear to be only available in smaller quantities and at massively higher prices.
