Hi all,
Just wanted to get an idea of what you would charge for 50 off each of the box frames attached?
I'm thinking the glass and MDF cut to size by Wessex, the mounts by another source so all I'd do is make the frames and put together.
Ironically the Debenhams prices for the frames are £8.00 each for the small frame and £15.00 each for the bigger frame, so the price would have to be less than that (if it's worth doing for that).
Thanks,
Sean

Re: 100 off Box Frames
buy them in ready made from someone and made a bit for selling them on
Re: 100 off Box Frames
I'd agree with Steve. Making the same ones as as produced on a factory line is a hard way to make a living.

If you take a close look at them on the Debenham's website, there is no sign of a miter so they were thick sprayed after joining, also the sizes quoted are the window size of the mount not the frame. You are not going to match the price as I would think £2.50 to £3.00 material cost for the smaller size one, is not going to give you much leeway to make a profit after you factor in your overheads. It's a long rocky road if you try to beat mass produced prices, just give the customer a fair price

Re: 100 off Box Frames
Thanks, yes I am inclined to put some on the price for someone else to make the frames - I have an enquiry out with a local framer on that basis.
Mounts incidentally come to £0.83 and £1.75 each.
