Looking for help from all framers!
A Blog has recently been started by Bronislaus Janulis to create an archive of antique/old picture framing labels. So if anyone has any old labels, with or without frames, or in the future if you get some passing through your workshop, it would be great if an image (ideally also with an image of frame) could be taken and sent to Bron via the contact info on the Blog or to me via the forum.
http://pictureframelabels.blogspot.co.uk/
The labels on antique/old frames are greatly neglected and are gradually being lost, so this Blog is intended to create a resource to catalogue and preserve labels for the future.
Thank you in advance!
Richard

I've just stumbled across this blog ^^^^, and then found Richard's posting on The Framer's Forum. If you haven't yet taken a look, then do, it's well worth a visit.

Look at the old Juhl one, I presume they are the ones that joined forces with Larson?

Re: Resource for Antique/Old Picture Frame Labels
We get a alot of customers bringing in old frames from charity shops that need Reframing. Alot of them have these old school type labels on them. I think I photograph them and upload to this http://pictureframelabels.blogspot.co.u ... bel/London.

Great Idea. Shame to see these relics of out industry vanish for ever. I'll start saving them. May have a few knocking about.......
