Re: kids are getting smarter
He is very very smart, don't know where he gets it from because my wife and I are as thick as pig sh#$,
At 20 months old he was at the expected level of a 5 year old, he has started to learn himself to read basic words we haven't shown him.
I am expecting troubles.

Ctrl+Alt+ down arrow. Works on some 'puters.
When my sister's eldest girl was about 2 - maybe younger, she used to put her teddy bear on a little coffee table that had wheels on it and manoeuvre it up to the washing machine. So that ted's head was up against the door bit. Then she would pretend to press the buttons. We wondered what she was up to until it dawned that she was playing MRI scans. Too many medical progs on the box.
She also used to give ted a few thumps and then listen to his chest and announce in a very serious tone, "He's dead". Then give him a few more thumps and another listen and smile and say, "He's better now."
