I have recently started to do my own framing at a workshop in Leeds, I've enjoyed it so much that I thought I would buy some equipment to do it at home. I bought myself a secondhand Mount cutter from eBay knowing it wasn't in perfect condition but now I have a problem. It's a Keencut Arrow, I thought I'd be able to replace the missing parts and I can...if I can find them!
I didn't realise it was as old as it is, 20 years since they stopped making it
I'm hoping that somewhere amongst you guys (and girls) someone may have pieces from your old Arrow's you may wish to sell? It seems such a shame to waste it as it is in good condition if you pay no attention to the missing parts! I got this one as its the same as the one I use at the Inc. workshop.
If anyone can help or has some ideas for me please drop me a message. Thanks
Hi Chenley and welcome to the forum, so you have a Keencut Arrow, have you contacted Keencut, they are very good, great customer service, they might be able to help you, worth a try

I have contacted the people at Keencut but as they stooped making the arrow 20yrs ago they only continue to keep the parts for a further 10yrs...10yrs too late

I'm missing the rulered edge, the back sliding flat edge (as you can see it's just a stopper) and there is a large gap in the center of the cutting area but maybe it's meant to be like this ?
All of the bolts and screws are rusted but i'm hoping they will be easy enough to find replacements for
There was a smaller version (24") of the Keencut Ace, which was called the Keencut Dart. The Dart was of limited use due to it's smaller maximum length of cut.
If a Dart was to come up on eBay, there might not be much interest in it, so it may be a cheap source of spare parts. Just a thought!

Thank you. I'll keep my eyes open. I'm going to keep looking for a couple of months but if nothing shows up I think I'll try to pick up something from the F/S thread. Very glad I stumbled across this forum. And thanks again for all of your help
