yearly charge for Valiani cmc on line assist

Post by kevin »

Yesterday the company who sold me my Valiani cmc xi [SCOPAS] informed me that Valiani have introduced a yearly charge for on line assist of €250 [Ireland] with intro of €125 for first year.
Do other cmc suppliers do likewise?

Apologies. I received this 2 days ago.

Valiani have replied with the following:

Valiani have not levied any support charge direct to its end user customers.
Valiani have asked that all their distributors pay a small yearly amount (a contribution) to help to cover Support costs (mainly time). This is necessary to help the distributors to support CMCs that are “out of warranty” (“out of warranty” means, support free, after 2/3 year from the purchase). There was no intention that Valiani intended this charge to be passed direct to its customers, rather, it is expected that all distributors will absorb this very small charge in order to provide a continued high level of support offered by Valiani through its distributors world wide.

Thank you John. Paul Gallagher must have got his wires crossed because he rang me solely to tell me about the Valiani charges. We had no other discussion. I hope Paul has got the message sorted. Again, John, many thanks. Regards Kevin
