Venton Enterprises

Post by Not your average framer »

It was with great sadness that I received a letter today from Venton Enterprises informing me that they stopped trading on the 24th of this month.

I've been doing business with them for about 17, or 18 years. First while running my books and prints business in Newton Abbot and later through my current picture framing business.

They were a wonderful family run business and were such a pleasure to do business with. I am very sad to discover that they are no longer trading.

They provided a weekly van delivery service throughout a large part of the west country and many framers relied upon them as their local supplier. Their closure will be a great loss to many west country framers.

It's not just picture framers that are affected by their sad closure. I was talking to our local glazier this evening and he used to buy stuff from Ventons as well.

They were very helpful to me when I began framing a year ago and continued to be so to the last. I shall miss them greatly. :(

What a shock phoned today to place an order having spoken to them last week to find they had ceased trading, We have been doing business with them for many years even when they were Westward art framers.
Due to cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has now been switched off

Ventons supplied about half my mouldings so quite a bit of work to replace them. Had not thought of the dangers of having all eggs in one basket. Any business can go under.
Particularly sad for Ventons, as such nice people.
