Cutting Rulers

For ages I have had a nice Maped ruler. I use it mainly for ruling lines on mounts. Unfortunately, the plastic inserts on the bottom appear to have gone manky. I can't rest it on the surface on a mount without it leaving black lines which are impossible to remove.
Anyway, decided to get a new one. Can't find a supplier. Some do 1000mm ones, but I really would like a 1200mm one.
Anybody any idea were I can get one?
Or, any recommendations for a good straightedge for washline ruling.
Lion do a Keencut ruler, non-slip with a steel insert but it's gor a raised safety guard which I think will get in the way when ruling.

In the meanwhile I have had to stick p-90 over the bottom of the ruler which is a bit dicey as it's hard to hold it steady.

I've got two of these with this problem just on one. Just replace the grippers - it's just rubber cord - silicone cord might be better and we sell that - just had a look and the thickest we have is 1.5mm and it looks like you need 2mm or 2.5mm.

Thanks John. It's 2.5mm according to my faithful micrometer so I have ordered some.

they do a 1500 mm one too, very good indeed.

Yep. I'm going to get one of those for general cutting, but it's not ideal for ruling because of the safety guard.

The price of Keencut rulers seems to be almost fixed but I recently purchase a 1200 from www.psw.co.uk and saved myself a few pounds. Postage at the time was £6 + VAT.

Got the new rubbery strip and it works a treat. Should be good for the next 30 years.
