Here is a list of programs on the Forum:
https://scenes.biz/framersdirectory/ind ... clearoff=1

A survey from 2003 - 2013 of top pricing and visualization systems in use can be found at:
http://www.custompictureframing.com/pol ... s.htm#tech

While I cannot speak to the other applications listed LifeSaver has both pricing and visualization (FrameVue) available http://www.lifesaversoft.co.uk. In my experience most people have slightly different needs when it comes to software for their business so I would encourage you to give the trials from a few of the companies a quick run both on the use of the program as well as the availability of their support to see what best meets your needs.

Best of luck!

Just one side note on the above post:

The survey linked above was for the US market only, which is why some UK specific programs (such as the host of this forum) are showing 0%. That does NOT mean that they have a 0% market share in the UK.

At some point in the future, I may conduct a similar survey in the European market.

Cheers from the USA1

Wow, that figure is a bit of a surprise! Our three US users have been telling me all along that the American market is tiny compared to the UK and EstLite has just about got it saturated. I can now see that this is has been a deliberate ploy on their part to keep the awsomeness of EstLite/Pre-View a secret from their competitors.

Many thanks for this information, Mike, your cheque is in the mail. :)

You may be on to something, John. hah

The US/Canadian market is fairly large as far as framers and those that utilize technology such as POS, CMC, conservation framing/materials, visualization, etc. A lot of other countries are, too.

The 11 years of (US/Canada) tech surveys have been pretty consistent with LifeSaver, FrameReady, and Specialtysoft dominating the results But if the same survey was conducted in UK, Germany, or NZ/AU, it would be a different mix. We use imperial measurements in USA, which might automatically exclude several European products.

The stats also show that a majority have CMC and POS, but the stats were gathered from people who were ONLINE to begin with. (who are perhaps technically inclined!) So who knows, really. The surveys are just for comparison and discussion purposes, and may not NECESSARILY reflect the market as a whole. But it's still interesting to see the results change from year to year.

Our own shop is in the USA and we use Lifesaver w/Framevue.
