Hi Colin,
I run a spread sheet on my mac and also have Estlite on a PC which I'm not mad about and also I hate PC. Does your program allow for time spent on a job as well as materials? I have time and materials on my mac spreadsheet but It may be very basic compared to yours so would be very interested to see how yours works.
Best wishes,

It should be dependent upon your requirements, I don't think so calculator can give the exact measurements, anyhow, you did a great Job.. Thumbs Up for your effort!

Hope its OK to reply to these queries to the list as other users may find it useful

Kashif86, Perhaps I was being a bit too general in saying 'Don't change the pink cells'. Obviously if a cell contains a formula it would be unwise to change it but general things like labour charges, sundries costs, moulding prices etc can be altered to suit. Also if you apply a discount this will show on the invoice, if on the other hand you wish to uplift the charge by a percentage to reflect a more complex job then this does not show.
To avoid problems with virus attacks the whole thing runs on formulas without the use of macros or embedded code. If you do accidentally overwrite a formula let me know and I will help you repair it or send you a new copy if you haven't made a back up

Dean, Just let me know your email address, by pm if you prefer and I will send you a copy.

Hi Colin. Happy New Year to you.
I too would like to try your spreadsheet. I use a Mac with Excel. I order everything from Wessex. I only do a few frames a week, mainly for my art students, so this sounds just right for me. What value donation are you thinking of?

Many thanks
Jan

There is a flaw in two formulas in the spread sheet and my thanks go to Peter Ramsay for pointing them out. When calculating the glass and back sizes it fails to take into account the addition of a mount. Fortunately the difference in price when using float or non reflective glass is quite trivial however it would be fairly serious in the case of crystal/waterwhite glass.

To correct these errors make another copy of the spreadsheet and use this new one to make the changes.

1. On the calculator sheet go to cell E32 with the Glass heading and delete the contents.

2. Copy and paste in this new formula
=IF('Data Entry'!H7="Yes",IF('Data Entry'!I7="Float",(F36+H36)*(G36+I36)*C23,IF('Data Entry'!I7="Non Ref",(F36+H36)*(G36+I36)*C24,IF('Data Entry'!I7="Crystal",(F36+H36)*(G36+I36)*C25,IF('Data Entry'!I7="Mirror",(F36+H36)*(G36+I36)*C26)))),0)

3. Still on the calculator sheet go to cell F32 with the Backing heading aand delete the contents.

4. Copy and paste in this new formula
=IF('Data Entry'!J7="Yes",(F36+H36)*(G36+I36)*C27,0)

5. Save under a different name to your original.

Play around with the frame and mount sizes and ensure that the values of the glass and backing change on the Calculator sheet. When you are happy that everything is working fine discard the old version.

Any new versions of the spreadsheet I send out will have these changes incorporated.

On a personal note I am currently recovering from the after effects prostate cancer treatment so responses may be a little slower than normal. If you have requested a copy of my program rest assured I will send it to you providing I have your email address.

If you are happy with the spreadsheet and feel like making a donation then please send it to Prostate Cancer UK web site is: http://prostatecanceruk.org/

Best wishes and Happy New Year to you all
