New trip today.....

Today I had to drive into the mid-section of my country. We have beautiful weather and the grass grows as never before..... I passed a nice water-mill that we use for regulating the waterlevel. This area is about 3 - 4 meters below sealevel. So many of those mills help. But when the waterlevel is to high, we also use pumps and regulators.
Part of the mill is covered with old-style sheer.
No town, no village and a young lady lives here alone......

Those windmill shots are great, Odems, and the background info really adds to viewing them! The lady that lives there has a beautiful home.

One bonus-shot for this trip.....
You see the farmers already did cutting the grass. It growed so hard in a few days.
Behind the mill a small row of willows appeared. This is typical for my country placed near the waterside. Willows have to get new branches every year. Taking the braches off we call "knutten". The Dutch name for a willow is "knotwilg". And the word "knot" also means the hairball of a girl above her neck. I don't know the correct English word sorry.

Thx Moglet. I hope you Framers have some nice trips to do in this long weekend. Tomorrow we do some grilling in the garden en sunday-evening we go for a concert of Roger Waters. It will be deep in the night before we come home again. I shall also test the Exilim again.

We had a fantastic concert. But it was forbidden to use camera's. My son has a nice camera 5MP and a acceptable video-quality. This image is made of a screenshot.

What was the lineup ?.
On the dvd Roger Waters is joined by John Caron, Doyle Bramhall II, Snowy White, and Andy Fairweather-Lowe. The backing singers included Kitty Sasoon.
I should have asked you to get a T shirt !.

Yes he introduced those people and some more. But I'm hard in remembering names..... From the three backing lady-singers one did the Great Gig in the Sky complete with a great voice. Rogers also presented a new song about a visit he made many years ago to people in Libanon. I browsed iTunes US and NL but it's not available yet in both.
The first part of the show contained older work that I love very much. The second part was the complete Darkside of the Moon and finally a bonus ending with Comfortably Numb. Old songs like Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun I like very much.
My sun made the movie with his phone. I will receive an mpeg within a few days and make some more screenshots. Perhaps we get a good view a the backing ladies.

Today we passed the river to the next river named "Merwede" and we did a short trip to visit a very old town named Woudrichem. This is a traditional fishing-town and long time ago they fished wild salmon in the river.
We found this floating restaurant for lunch;
