I have used this model for the last three years in a damp Victorian shop and it has transformed the atmosphere - http://www.ecoair.org/DD122FW.htmlAll traces of damp are gone, and apart from layers of clothing and an occasional blast from a halogen heater in the morning, is now the main heating source- there being enough moisture in the building to keep it working all the time. It's not officially meant for workshop use, and the filters need to be kept very clean, but I can't praise it highly enough.

I tried one for lower temperatures (Ithought my cellar was cold but intact it is not) fortunately it failed after 2 years so after much research I ordered

My research showed that dehumidifiers are prone to failure (case in point mine first one failing after 2 years) so the Which best buy and 5 year warranty steered me to this one which also has a larger reservoir so does not have to be emptied every day.

Just picked up a 2500w oil filled radiator from Lidl for £39.99, which is at least half the normal price you see them at. Not sure how long they'll have them in stock!
