I was in Berlin when the wall came down - didn't do the concert though - wish I had but had more on my mind - divorce and stuff.
Could write a book on what I did do though - walked across Glienicke bridge within hours of the news.

Anyone noticed that advert where a load of bricks gets dropped on a car, etc? Some species of insurance I think.....
Does the music sound like a dead rip-off of the Floyds "Careful with that Axe Eugene"? Or am I hallucinating?

If you've not heard of the Peatbog Faeries - worth a listen!

My votes on Deep Purple: Made in Japan.
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
There's a rumour that they may play the Millenium Stadium late in the year. Definitely not missing that one after losing out on the O2 raffle.

Ah Yes......
'Who’s Next' is my number one!
(I’ve seen them play live 3 times, sadly not with Keith Moon as I was only about 4 when he died)
I’m playing BIG windmill style air guitar as I type!

Blood, Sweat & Tears No.1 for me, followed by Deep Purple - In Rock, the one with their faces in Mt. Rushmore on the cover.

For me it would have to be Runes, closely followed by Physical Graffiti and The Wall, and Wish You Were Here.
All time fave album (and it truly deserves the monicker!) has to be The Lamb, although for Best Genesis Track it has to be Supper's Ready! Love Yes like there's no tomorrow - excluding the "Yeggles" episode. So many faves, but Wakeman's contribution on Awaken has to push it to the top. ABWH is another cracker.
Other workshop/general faves include (in no particular order):
- Sisters of Mercy
- Roxy Music / Bryatollah
- Simple Minds
- Genesis
- Human League (Reproduction, Travelogue)
- Tears for Fears
- David Bowie (nothing later than early eighties, mostly seventies)
- Peter Gabriel
- Wang Chung ("Best of" has some great driving music, too)
- Japan (Adolescent Sex is a great album to work to, even if Sylvian's vocal style wasn't as polished as the later work.
- Genesis
- Bronski Beat (Age of Consent)
- Runrig
- Shooglenifty (Venus in Tweeds is ace: trad on acid!)
- Even more Genesis
- U2
- Heaven 17
- Ultravox
- Robbie Robertson
- Don Henley
- Robert Palmer
- Garbage
- Republica (great for times of extreme framing, like Christmas all-nighters)
- Doobie Brothers
- Steely Dan
- The The
- Duranies (The Wedding Album)
I could continue....

just finished listening to The Nolans - I'm in the mood (for dancing)
an awesome track, and even better when played through BIG Speakers - just as well we live in a detached bungalow, would have had the council Noise abatement team out on me!
(OOOPS - GRAHAME HERE) - pesky cookies!

That track's gotta be older than you, Grahame!

Talking of old tracks, this is a regular youtube pitstop for me
It always amazes me that back then a bloke didn't have to have perfect hair, physique or make-up to attract the attention of thousands of heaving breasts
