Mike, whatever about the shelves, just lurv the funky birds on the windowsill!

I was just looking at the birds when I realised I have the same printer as Mike! At least I think so - Colour Laser, duplexing & networked.

Can I add myself to the wanted equipment and advice discussion. I am returning to framing and whilst looking for most equipment would like a second hand pneumatic Taurus underpinner if anyone knows where to find one privately.Unfortunately cannot afford Traders prices

It's a bit more spacious than it looks. The keyboard and monitor are positioned to be comfortable when standing at the mount cutter. The keyboard and mouse are cordless so I can always move it if necessary. The additional keyboard on the floor is for use towards the end of the day when I'm feeling particularly tired.

The underpinner just fits in nicely - it's always been there and I can still use it from where I always used to stand - though now I have to stand in precisely the right spot. It's moving next week (see next paragraph).

The shelves - which slide in and out - hold mountboard. Hence the labels and tape measures. However I've just thrown those out this week in favour of Lion's mountboard filing system. As the mountboard now has to be stored lengthways in they stick out in front of the worktop. So, I now have a new, deeper worktop ready to be fitted. Once that's on the underpinner will be moved forward a bit. That should make it easier to put paper in the printer.

They're ballpoint pens. Difficult to use but great to look at.

That's the one -- HP2605dn. Nice printer but very expensive to use.

I took advantage of the £175 refund when buying the machine with an extra set of toners - that should keep me going for a couple of years!

Sometimes you can find the printer cheaper than the list price for a set of toners.

I recently agreed to sponsor a centrefold for our local free monthly. It's only 500 copies but I discovered that printing 500 sheets of full colour used about 80% of a new set of toner refills - i.e. about £180.

Next month I'm putting less colour on the page and using refilled cartridges from eBay.
