Tony,
Your post has caused some fun!
Where do you come from? :?
If it's Ascot UK then who is PFS in Ascot?
If its Ascot Australia - then are you working for Kosnar?

Roboframer,
Sorry I confused you :?
When it said ASCOT -picture framing supplies- I Googled it, and up came my old contact Kosnar in ASCOT Australia. he used to be quite a player in the OZ market. So I assumed TONY W was an Ozzie.

I have done some Inspector Clouseau today and discovered the true identity of Tony W.
He lives in Ascot England, and works for a picture framing supplies company................

But let him introduce himself..............I dont want to be accused of being a :pimp: for this upright, trustworthy, honourable, excellent, reliable, worthy, esteemed seller of sticks and mount board!

Well done Keith. There I was answering some e.mails and one of the warehouse lads tell me I have a phone call from someone called Keith. After a few minutes of interogation Keith had tracked me down through some very good investigations. He was right. My name is Tony Walker and I am Branch Manager of Lions P.F.S.London Branch at Hayes in Middlesex.( near Heathrow )So let the flack begin.
The only reason I didn't mention that I worked for Lion was that I didn't want any one to think that any questions or answers that I might give would be biased in favour of Lion.
So Keith you deserve a drink for finding out who I was.

Tony

Hi Tony, welcome to the forum.

Don't worry, we'll not hold the fact that you work for Lion against you. :)

Hi Tony and wecolme to the forum,

I think that expressing any loyalty to Lion and those products supplied by Lion is perfectly reasonable, if it is relevent to an existing thread. Even using the forum as a means of canvasing opinion on products you are considering promoting as a company is good too, indeed Martin Harold has done so on at least two occasions in the past.

Now we know who you are, we will all know where you are coming from, which should be fine. Hopefully members of other suppliers and relevent organisations within our industry will also be willing to get involved in discussions when they consider it acceptable to do so. (No doubt there will be times when some issues are better addressed privately between the parties concerned).

I would have to say that by and large, the trade reps that I have encountered over the years have been good value, they represent the employer well and answer any queries I have

Obviously they change at intervals, but generally those who replace the departing rep seem to heve been given a good overall knowledge

The only gripe I have with reps is that I wish they would make contact before arriving, so that it would give me time to consider their company's products and list any queries - that way we could make better use of our respective times together
