I needed a couple of batons to sit my shower pump on but I didn't have any.

Last year I decided to grow a row of kidney beans. Guess what I used for sticks? 
1/2" white Hogarth. 
At the end of the year all the gesso had dropped off and it was quite nice bare wood moulding underneath. So I sanded it down and returned it to stock.
Didn't get many beans though.
