That's a good looking and sturdy shed with good ceiling height. I've operated my business from a complex of sheddage for some years now and found them ideal for the different processes in my work. One thing I always do is clad the walls with 50mm insulation and then plasterboard (easy to paint). What you spend here is more than paid for in the first years heating bill. It also prevents dampness and condensation forming overnight.

Ideally you'd have a vapour impermeable layer (waterproof layer) between the insulation and the plasterboard.

Hello Mike, long time no speak. That is an awesome looking building, good move!

I did indeed have a Keops cabin with only floor and roof insulation as recommended by Keops themselves. The 45mm log with top and bottom insulation is how they have their own offices. I found it to be more than adequate in the time I had it. The only issue I ever had was on a wet winters day, occasionally the windows and doors would mist up, it was more of a ventilation issue than to do with insulation. The place kept pretty warm and I left a small oil filled rad on overnight on frost setting to prevent it getting too cold.

The manufacture doesn't recommend dry lining due to the natural movement in the timbers which expand and contract with temperature and moisture changes. In my experience it wasn't necessary. I fixed wooden brackets to the walls and stored moulding horizontally. Never kept huge stocks there but never noticed any twisting or warping. Never had any damp issues with boards and paper either.

Paint sprayer would be a great idea. I did all mine with a brush, took days!

All in all, I thought it was a great investment and would definitely buy one again. Good luck with it Mike

Sorry all no improvement on what has already been posted.

The pressures of the day job and few framing jobs have meant I have been reluctant to start moving stuff just yet.

After last Saturdays result it really should be painted in red and white stripes.

Yes that is another reason no work got done on the cabin as I was at the Stoke game.

I have same as ( The Framer ) only thing it started to take in water at ground level after a few years.
A builder recommended a Bitumin solution called RITO.
I painted it on along the bottom on the outside. It worked a treat and at only €40.
