Lovely fellow framers ~ my name is Laura. I've had the distinct pleasure to participate in the framing industry for 28 years, this June. I've worked in both the wholesale and retail aspects, and have even been a trainer [for Larson-Juhl] back in the late 90's early 2000's.
Every day brings something new and interesting [ok, maybe not EVERY day...] ~ there is ALWAYS something to pique the interest, something new to learn, someone new and interesting to talk with, some new item to frame.
I'm a one-person shop...so it keeps me busy.
Glad to find this forum, and look forward to perusing old posts, and possibly posting new ones!

Laura,
Welcome to The Framers Forum
A trainer for LJ in late 90's ? .... so you will have known Leslie Sieswerda (Education Manager) Ward Randall and David Bolde etc. I can remember demonstrating on the LJ stand at Frame-o-rama on those awful  Piers in N.Y. back in the 90's

I think you realise you are posting on what is basically a UK forum - but do continue to post as we see framing as a worldwide business. Even in the poorest countries people still need frames, so framers from any country are welcome to join and more than than welcome to ask questions.

Good luck with your latest venture

Are you saying America is one of the poorest countries, Keith? :giggle:
