Tacking iron

Hi, my tacking iron no longer works and I have a lot of mounting to do and cannot wait for the replacement. I was going to use Pritt Stick as an interm method of tacking but I notice on the Lion website that it says not to do this if using foamboard. I was going to tack posters to foamboard so does anybody know why I shouldn't use Pritt and if I cannot dies anybody know another interm alternative to tacking ?

Grateful of any suggestions, regards Brian.

If you are using a hot press & vacuum the pritt adhesive may be visible after processing. I used to use this method when mounting pics onto compositem A soldering iron can be used or even the back of a spoon heated on the stove. Iron sound like the best bet.

If you go along to B&Q or somesuch and get a cheap soldering iron, you might find you can just swap the bits. :D
