moulding??

Post by StevenG »

It's name that moulding again :) - I've seen quite a few recently and I never thought I'd be playing the game - but can anyone point me in the direction of this moulding or something similar, it's a strange colour - sorta silver/bronze, not quite gold. Can't really see anything like it in the Arqadia/Simons/Lion Catalogue.

First thought was one on the Simons 2000/___  Bit hard to tell, but the shape looks right.

Thanks for the pointer :) I haven't actually seen the moulding myself - someone brought me in that pic (doesn't make life easy). I don't have a Simons book here at the moment - is that heavy gesso'd range? I had a few of the others and couldn't cut the darn things with the morso.

Thanks again for the reply

If it's the one I think it is then it isn't brilliant chopwise. The last lot I had (silver) was on pine with quite a thick coating. Seen worse though.
It's nicely priced and looks quite classy.

I've used the 2000/068 in the past with terrible results. The amazing results are posted here ... http://theframersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=10099. If it's part of the same family I'll just have to make my excuses and leave :)

But, it's Friday and the sun is starting to peak around the corner. Cheers Prospero
