I now have my art website up and running for anyone who would like a look. The moonfruit sitebuilder is very easy to use for anyone who would like to build one.

www.lbm-art.moonfruit.com

There will be further tweaking to do, but at least it's a start!

Well done Lynn. A concise, easy to use, no-nonsense site.

A very good start.

A bigger gallery would be nice.

Lynn,

You have some really great artwork to show off.
I find the site very slow to load, but it could just be because I am far away.

I hope you don't mind a couple of suggestions.

Where there is text in white boxes, it might be nicer if the text was spaced a little further away from the edge of the box and if possible a thin border around the edges of the box.

I'm not sure which plan you are on with Moonfruit, but if you ever decide to go a little more advanced with a website and want you own domain name, you could look at http://www.lunarpages.com

They have a basic plan (which I use) that is US$6.95/month (paid annually) and that includes a free domain name for life and a whole swag of Coffee Cup software ($700 worth, they say) for free to build your site, 350gigs storage space, 3500gigs bandwidth/month and up to 10 add-on domains can also be hosted. You can also have an unlimited number of sub-domains and email addresses.

They also have an affiliate program which allows users to get payment for referrals who sign up. I have a link on my contact page for this.

It is a great overall deal and I haven't found one any better anywhere!

I built my site with Mr.Site.

http://www.mrsite.co.uk/

At only £34:99 including the first years hosting it was an absolute bargain.
After the first 12 months, the hosting is £2:49 per month.

It's by no means finished but still good enough to grab customers.
