Just reframing some nice drawings for a customer (the black Hogarth has to go..... ). They are to hang from a picture rail and had the usual white polyester cord on. Been hanging that way for a while and it has to be said, the white cord looked a bit manky with 30 years of dust on it. I am loathed to replace it with new white cord as, to my eye, new cord looks too white. So I suggested using the nice brown stuff that Lion sell. The lady was quite keen on the idea and has taken a bit away to try on the wall. But wouldn't it be nice if you could get a sort of off-white/ivory cord similar in colour to the old cotton cord of yesteryear, but with the strength/longevity of poly cord.

Just done a job, large oil oil but not too valuable, hung it from picture rail with brass chain, customer thought it was good, very large Victorian house so very high ceilings.
We had a customer who asked us not to put the cord on the back (but wanted the fixings) as he was hanging them from the picture rail.
I asked him what he used and he says fishing line as it is ridiculously strong and virtually invisible. He paints the hooks to match the picture rail as well.
