Good morning fellow framers. Can any of you recommend a private pension scheme for the self-employed, please ? One that preferably doesn't have massively hiked fees / charges.
Thanks in advance.

I've never had so much spare cash that I'd have been willing to pay someone else to look after it for me.......

I had a pp for years and paid about 200 a month into it. I got to the point of thinking about all the cash that I was pouring into it and what I could have done with it.

So when I turned 50 I opted out - got a lump sum and a monthly payment which isn't a fortune. All pension companies do is invest the money for you. Why not invest it in a business that you have complete control over. Your own.

I've always been a great believer of looking after your own money.. providing you have the self control not to spend it. ISAs are sometimes good, depending on the return, or buying shares or premium bonds. A pension company will take a cut, at least even if you only get a small amount of interest from wherever you invest you will get to keep it.
