Geoff,

Stick it on eBay, you'll get at least £600 for it, I put a ratty one on a couple of years ago and got £450

I have been monitoring eBay, Morso's are not selling at the prices described...

It seems to me that those of us who own Morso guillotines think they are worth a lot more than those who don't, probably to do with their weight and hassle of moving them

Must go... it's the very last item from my failed framing business

I think the problem is that there are quite a few framers retiring or going out of business, link that with the incredible longevity of the Morso and you have more Morso's than framers pushing down the price.

The second hand market is really dropping in everything, not just framing equipment.

We bought our Morso in immaculate condition with a spare set of blades, an Alpha A1 underpinner also immaculate and a Keencut Ultimat Gold 48" mount cutter for £1000.
Had to travel 180 miles to collect them but well worth the journey
For my sins I own and operate

It's just a thought, but it might not be the best time of year to get good prices for selling things on eBay.

A lot of people are either on holiday, or saving their money so that they will have money to spend while on holiday.

Also it's Wimbledon this week and last week, so more people watching television, less people watching eBay.

Of course, there always is a last minute bidding war at the very end, so it may still come good.

Not too bad a price in the end. Hope the sale goes smoothly for you.

Thanks for that, £510 realised which is less than half of what I paid from a dealer...
Serves me right for trusting a dealer to give me a market price! Framers Equipment showed no interest in taking it back (at a reduced price) once they had me stitched me up.

The guy came and collected it yesterday complete with cash and a tail lift van, after all the hassle it was nice to deal with a decent and honest person.

Off to hand back the key to the now empty storage unit now
