Laminating
After reading some posts about float mounting most say to laminate the picture to a bit of mount board or foam board but what adhesive do you recommend for this.

Re: Laminating
I'm not sure what this has to do with float mounting, but anyway:
There is hot mounting in a press (hot press for example) which uses heat and pressure activated adhesive, followed by laminating (I.e. Over laying with a coating) which again is heat and pressure activated. A hot press uses vacuum and heated glass, an ademco uses clamping pressure and a heated steel plate.
These is cold mounting between rollers (jet mounter for example) which use pressure only activated adhesive and laminating film.

Re: Laminating
I'm sure you don't mean laminating, which is to cover something with a transparent adhesive film, not fixing to a surface, which is what you probably mean.
If it's something on paper it could be mounted with pass-through hinges or possibly encapsulated.
