Does anyone know where I can get a pile of these (50 or 100).
Lion do a pack of 100 but I don't need anything else to be above the £30. A few other things that I wanted to add are not in stock.
I can find packs of two on ebay etc. but they cost around £2 each so not going to do it that way.

are you on about the round plastic ones from lion?

i assume they are for the backs of blocks of something

if so you could use a keyhole router cutter and cut a keyhole slot in the back

Yes they are the round plastic ones from Lion.
I will be using them for the back of MDF photo blocks.
I can't do a keyhole cut on a router, but I can ask the guy that does my blocks.
I was going to be giving him a pile of these to slip in after using a forstner bit to make the hole.

i use and handheld cheap router. i cut the slot after finishing the block

if you get the joiner to do, 2 things to remember that you put the photo on the right way up!!!!

and make sure not to stick to the slot side when not paying attention

thats the kinda bit i use, and just use the guide fence of the router to make sure its straight

For keyhole plates, you generally only need a void behind (no need for a fancy shape) which can be made with a wood drill bit with centring tip of suitable dia.
That's if they are like these brass keyhole plates . . . http://www.screwmaster.co.uk/ekmps/shop ... ekm%5D.jpg

A drill bit like this . . . http://i01.i.aliimg.com/img/pb/171/322/ ... 71_256.jpg
