Long time since I've been on here!

Wonder if I could tap into your experience?

I'm using an Epson 9880 to print onto inkjet canvas with these inks:




I purchased the following Matte Varnish 2.5LT Liquid Version to finish the print and protect it:

After printing I leave the canvas to dry for 24hrs before applying the varnish. The problem is, the varnish destroys the print! I've tried applying with a foam roller and using a spray-gun, both destroy the print!

Could some kind soul tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Here's a typical example of the problem I'm having:

Canvas needs to be the right stuff... Inks an varnish you mention are fine so only leaves your canvas.

What canvas are you using? if it's either their Satin or Gloss then thats your problem. it's not necessary to laminate those two due to the coating not accepting laminates.

I believe you might have solved it - I'm sure I'm using their satin inkjet canvas!

If this is the issue, how can I give the print some protection against water splashing on it?

only option is a hot laminate process....IE Hotpress

If you want to laminate for protection just get Matt Canvas.
