Print browser help?

Post by pramsay13 »

Up until now I have only done bespoke framing, but I'm hoping to sell prints after getting a wonderful deal on 100 of the things!
Can anyone tell me where the best place is to get a print browser, and what's the best way to display, e.g. in a plastic sleeve, with a card behind, mount already on? etc)

Hey Pramsey have you thought of making them yourself?

4 pieces batten 25 mm x 25 mm by the length you require
these are then fixed together with a couple of nuts and wing nuts about 1 third up from floor end
4 pieces of 15 mm dowel the length same as total width
Drill holes near top and bottom of batten to fit the dowel in
Assemble to form a cross
Use linen fabric from the top of one dowel to the top of the other dowel

Job done

......................................can you follow the instructions?? I hope

Thanks for your help everyone.
The Selwyn ones look great but are probably outwith my price range new and they don't come up for sale second hand often.
So I'll probably be getting something similar to the Lion one. If I do get that is there somewhere that I can buy just sleeves on their own?

Hi Pramsay

Have you tried Seawhite of Brighton? Along with a variety of art materials, they sell print display stands and plastic sleeves, primarily for schools and colleges, but also for retailers.

[Seawhite]

They do have a minimum order, but you maybe able to combine this with a few other bits for the workshop.

I would definitely say have a go at making them yourself, as you might find that you're able to spend less money than you would if you bought the finished product. Is there any news on this project? How are they looking?

No news yet. Waiting until a reasonably priced second hand one comes up.
I just don't have time to make one myself.
