Are you talking about people ordering online and then you sending the finished frame to them, or advertising your business on the web?
The first case works fine for some people, but better if the framing is quite simple. Remember you have all the hassle of packing and carriage - and breakages.
This type of business has to work on quite tight profit margins to be competitive, and one 'bad' order could wipe out the profit for the next ten.

I would be wary of offering custom framing without seeing the item and discussing with the customer face to face. It is good to have a portfolio - maybe do some work for family and friends and ask them to review it. Customers like to see reviews.
