Is it worth paying the extra premium for Waterwhite glass or is the difference marginal?

We switched to water white as our standard quite a while ago. It is a useful promotion aid and actually helps us to upgrade a greater number of orders to water white anti reflective.

I would say that it is worth it as long as you're not struggling to fit it into your budget.

Quite interested myself on this one.... I can get Water White at twice the price I am currently getting for 'normal' glass. Have not had any adverse comments from customers but as you say it could be another marketing tool.

However is it worthwhile? What benefits does it give?

We swapped to it as our default glass shortly after Wessex started offering it. We find it gets a very positive response because we have a display showing normal float and water white float over a piece of white mountboard. Hardly anyone asks for the cheaper option of standard float. It also means the difference between water white float and more expensive speciality glass live UV or anti reflection is much smaller so again the upsell is easier. Also use it as a selling tool at talks to art societies to show the green tint put on their pictures by ordinary float in comparison, again always a very positive response to it and we find people are now asking to make sure it is being used.
