Cassese CS88 table extension

Post by Hannahframer »

Hello Fellow Framers!

Does anyone know of an extension table that clips into the two slots at the front of Cassese underpinners CS88/89? I've seen a picture of what appears to be a black rigid plastic extension in an old manual for the machine but it's not showing on the Cassese web site. I've sent them an email to see if they have anything but in the meantime I just wondered if any of you have come across anything.

Thanks.

I was told a few years ago by the head engineer at Cassese that they never made any extension tables for the Cs88/89, the prototype was designed with one in mind (hence the slots) but it was never put into production as the weight made the underpinner fall over.

Thanks Mark. I contacted Cassese and they said basically the same thing. They did produce an extension for another model and that was as far as it went. Maybe make my own.......... :D

I used to always use mine next to a bench of the same height. With my 3099 I have a 4ft square bench with one corner cutout and it is also mounted on wheels so you can push it out for bigger frames.
