In the past I have framed Ordinance Survey maps, they have been on paper and I have been able to mount them on adhesive board (too big for my Hotpress)
A couple of days ago a customer brought a large map in, see photo below, it is 120cm x 150cm but already laminated as you can see.
How would I stick down such a large laminated map and onto what, 6mm MDF perhaps ? I suggested perspex over the map in a simple black wooden frame, the customer asked if it needed to have perspex over it as its already laminated, I think it would depend how well it could be stuck down.
Any advice gratefully received.

Unless you are going to stick it down on a board then it is going to have to be behind perspex 4mm would be best and an MDF back to keep it flat.
I have just had a photo 2.4m x 1.7m board mounted by a local sign company in Manchester, they did a really good job of it. So perhaps take it to a sign/graphics company to see if they can help.

A few years ago I had a huge poster brought in, I took that to a sign/exhibition company and they bonded it to 12mm MDF for me through their Jetmounter, it worked a treat and the customer was extremely happy.
