Picture Framer - Vacancy, Earlsfield, SW18

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and experienced picture framer to join our busy workshop in Earlsfield, South West London, 3-4 days per week. We deal directly with professional artists, galleries and public alike so the work is varied and interesting.

Duties will involve advising customers, mounting and handling artwork appropriately, cutting, joining and hand finishing mouldings, and assembly work so an all round knowledge of framing an artwork from start to finish is important. A background in conservation framing would be preferable as we often deal with very valuable artwork.

Working with a lot of artists we regularly float mount large work on paper into hand finished box frames, and stretch and tray frame large canvasses so particular experience in this area would be beneficial.

We are looking for a friendly, motivated and confident individual to join our team who is well organised, productive and meticulous to detail. The ability to work to tight deadlines and multi task is essential! Paid overtime will be expected at busy times.
