My first box frame

This is my first go at object framing, due to the depth of the shoes I doweled on some pine from build base. to attach the shoes I stapled Velcro to the soles and mount board and the added some hot glue to hold them in place. It all seems to be pretty sturdy.
I would be interested to know if any one would have done it differently, or have any tips for the next time I try this.
as I said this was my first box frame and being self taught I always seem to be making it up as i go along.

When I first started framing, that' all you could do, unless you paid to go on a training course , or bought books(an read them)
never had this new fangled Interweb thingy or YouTube ( which can be misleading and wrong :xcomputer: ) wonderful thing this Forum.

Nice looking job by the way, keep them coming
