August issue of PFM has just arrived - 112 pages of Picture Framing articles that just go so way beyond the stuff you get in the UK mags.
I would class myself as reasonably experienced - but never fail to be impressed by something in PFM - This month glancing through - using pastel dust to create a french mat - selling cross stitch framing - gilding french style - restoring a Victorian Oval - sponge mounting - Improved Feather Pasting. - and its monthly.
My third years subscription is in the post and is money well spent.

Here's the website there's a link on the left to subscribe.
Note they also have a link to The Grumble, wouldn't it be nice if our trade mag websites had a link here!

Cool..!
I, too am impressed so have ordered a year's subscription - you can't have too much information...
I also get a UK publication, alas when I first saw it (at a Wessex Pictures Open Day) it was quite portly, but now is rather slender - my jury's out..!

Hi,
Does anyone know when the latest copy of PFM came out please (October's by Dermot's link)?
I subscribed in September as you can see further down this thread, but haven't received anything. The monies have come out of my account too which makes me think that something's awry...
Thanks,
Sean

Sean - I had a similar experience when I first subscribed - they are also fairly good at sending you numerous reminders when the subscription is due - and a few more even after you have paid.

Took ages (and unanswered emails) before my first copy arrived but it did -- and deliveries have been reliable ever since. I think they just have a very slow system for entering new subscriptions.

I got my November issue this week so the panic's over.
It's got some great articles in it - I'll have to look into those one day when I've got nothing to do..!
Quality magazine

For you hand finished frame people out there, in April edition of PFM, some very good examples and techniques of Customised moulding Finishes. Plus an article on 'New life for a pre-finished mouldings'
A good read

I agree that it is way ahead of anything else I subscribe to, but have you ever noticed that it is published by Hobby Publications?
Kind of makes me wonder that I’m not really serious about this picture framing stuff.
