Static.

Post by raymond »

I recently purchased a Drytac Jet mounter. I seem to have a lot of trouble keeping dust - specks of dirt, of the acrylic I am face mounting. It doesn't seem to matter how particular I am about cleaning it, even cleaning when it goes through the roller.
Seven times out of ten there is a pesky piece of dirt caught between the acrylic and optically clear film. Any advise on this. There is anti static roller on the Lion web site. http://www.lionpic.co.uk/product/Teknek ... 340,0.aspx . Has any one ever used one.

Ian. Yes, I do use a tack cloth, which works well some the time. May be it's imposable to keep it totally clean all of the time.

....and now for the idiot question - what exactly is a tack cloth?

I think I could use one but have only guessed at what exactly one might be!

literately what it's name suggests, it is a cloth that is tacky, or if you will, a bit sticky.
