M4 Charnwood not firing staples

Post by annefrost »

Hello, I have just brought a new M4 Charnwood and tried to use it for the first time but it is not firing any staples. I am sure it must be a simple solution but I cannot figure it out! Any ideas would be gratefully receiving, thanks.

Welcome to the forum Anne, it may sound daft but as it is new perhaps some of the packing has been left underneath in the works to stop the top arm travelling down.

I would check that first.

Thank you for your reply, I have checked but cannot see anything obvious. I will try to call them today and see if we can sort it out! Thanks.

Anne, when putting the pins in you may have to adjust the depth, ie if it is set at 6mm then 12mm will require the depth to be adjusted

Good luck

I managed to speak to someone yesterday and they helped me remove the block on top the wedge driver and there was a 'squished' wedge in there! It is now gone and needless to say it works perfectly and I am very happy.....
