I had a little problem with my Valiani CMC this week - It suddenly seemed to need the depth setting increased on all heads. As always when busy I really didnt have time to stop cutting so made the adjustment and got on with the job. was a little worried that there seemed to be a inconsistent problem - was just not cutting through on one cut despite having increased the depth. I then had to cut some thick mountboard and noticed the head was lifting from the carrier slightly. That shouldn't happen and on examining the head holder i couldn't really see a problem - until I noticed a blade firmly attached to one of the magnets that hold the heads in place - Doh....
Worth passing on - got a depth setting problem - check that something hasn't hidden under the holder.
Such a relief to find it. Having talked to some framing friends with Val CMCs I'm told its happened before.. I am now officially a member of the Valiani numpty club ( apparently membership has to include wondering why your machine isn't working only to find that you haven't switched on the compressor.)
As founder member of the Valiani Numpty Club it is a great pleasure to welcome you to the club

A warm welcome from me too, I keep forgetting to put the mount on the machine and then cut a hole in the slip mat that's why I have two layers of slipmat

My staff were doing that, I have stopped it by telling them to follow the instructions on the screen, telling them to not anticipate it and only do anything when it comes up, so when it says load material........
