Watch Out. There's A Humphrey About
Re: Organisation
Stop your bloody moaning and get on with it, its the customers prerogative especially those who are inferior designers.

Re: Organisation
Time spent with the little fella is worth far more than all the frames not made during the day.
They grow up so quickly; every moment with them is worth treasuring.

I agree I wish I had spent a bit more time with mine at that age instead of working late and weekends. Before you know it they will be coming to work with you and telling you what you are doing wrong.

Re: Organisation
In a previous life I worked in IT, part of a euro admin team for a fairly large call center. Anyway, I was selected to spend a month in the US helping set up their new infrastructure. My kids were all young at the time so I said I wasn't going. The manager called me into his office & explained I didn't have an option and I should have more ambition blab blab blab. I told the ar$4hole I did have an option and that the only ambition I had was to be happy and I had achieved that already. He wasn't impressive and went on to tell me what sacrifices he had made in order to progress 'up the ladder' including missing the birth of his three children - I also think he was proud of it. I told him I felt sorry for him and said he'd never get that time back. The meeting went on for a while but eventually I repeated that this 'little talk' hadn't changed anything and I still wasn't going to the US, he did threaten with 'we'll see about that'. Sooooo, anyway, I got up & walked out - back to my desk and just carried on when the daily stuff. I worked there for another few years & during those remaining years I was never asked again. I've since heard that he's now taken early retirement in order to spend time with his family.
So, anyway - Yes, I hope you enjoyed your day off at home with the kids & missus

Just getting back in to the thick of things after being side lined having Chemo for the last six months. Often worked Sundays until ten or eleven P M, to meet customer requests.
There is more to Life than Picture Framing, even for a Picture Framer.
Still it's good to be able to moan about it.
