As some of you know i have another Career as an Entertainer/singer/songwriter By the name of Dixon J Scott
This review from a show i did a couple of nights ago almost floored me, I was almost embarrassed to read it.
but secretly chuffed that after 50 years in the business i can still pull in reviews like this.
Sorry but i just had to share it.

Well, what a night, eh? Didn't Ricky (Dixon J Scott) sing outstanding, one would think he has turned the clock back 10/15 years.
His biggest triumph was the two high notes in The Trilogy and California Blues, awesome!!!!!
So once again he showed his outstanding talent and attributes to be at the top of our local C&W scene, if not the universe.
But most importantly, are his other qualities, that a lot of our younger artistes wouldn't be out of place taking notes of his sustained,
consistent, ever improving, day by day, edge of impact, mental and physical excellence.
Ricky has set a standard, to be equalled but never beaten, anywhere, anytime and any place!!!!!
Also, even i you weren't there last night, you might think these words were only a fairytale, but no they are FACT!!!!!!!!!!!!
So for that reason, as we have all held him such high esteem is that he has become someone you would be proud of to have as a brother or father,
or in my case a grandfather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well done Ricky, we all need a back-up life. Got me thinking having a cup of tea that as a group, the framers forum contain some interesting, helpful characters. Perhaps we could help you with some ideas for your show.
Lets start this ball rolling

1. Anything by Georgie Frame
2. Theme from inspector Morso
3. Rocky Mount ain't High (apologies to John Denver)
4. Lola. The Kinks. (" I mitre in a club in old Soho")
5. Get Back. (Beatles)
6. Help (Beatles) just because it sounds like it should be our anthem!

Maybe my tea had something weird in it today. Must get back to work

Nigel.
