I was in the Tate Modern on Thursday and noticed this Joan Mitchel has been taped to hide the edges. Has anyone any idea what it might be made of or if it is available anywhere? I Imagine it is designed for the job or specially made, and of conservation grade materials.
Thanks

No idea really. But whatever it is that single staple looks a bit half-arsed.

I framed a piece that was half made up of masking tape, was exhibited in the national portrait gallery, won't last long though.
