Hi guys brand spanking new to framing and have got myself a cs89 underpinner with compressor. I have had a problem with it deciding not to clamp and pin after the foot pedel is pressed the middel clamp works every time.
the top clamp and pinner directly under it seems to decide ramdomly not to work and i have found pushing the relese red button before attemping to pin a frame seems to help make it work.
is this a common problem and how do i solve it?

thanks in advance for any help.

If it'd brand spanking new then ring up the supplier it should be sorted under warranty surely.

I read it that way at first but on reflection I think that 22rabbits is the one new to framing and not the CS89....... but I might be wrong!

ye its a used machine. I found 2 things one was the spring button under the pinner, above the actuator, was misaligned. the other was i think i had the top clamp set too high from the mouldings and so used a lot of the air to clamp and the pressure dropped

Hi 22rabbits welcome to framing!
Glad you are sorted, but just so you know for future reference, there is a maximum height you need to have the top pressure away from the moulding.
If the top pressure is too high from the moulding then it will move down but not activate the return switch to complete the pinning cycle, which i am guessing is what was happening before (not that it was running out of air). The maximum height will vary between machines, I am sure you will soon learn the tolerance for your machine.
