Apart from using newly sharpened Morso blades and good quality fabric liner moulding, I think that's about all you can do.

I don't offer customers any fabric liner mouldings at all these days, so I neatly side step the problem completely.

They cut much better on a twin bladed saw. You can also push the frayed bits into the joint with a scalpel.

Fix a piece of magic tape across the cut; on the last blade stroke, leave the blades down and pull the moulding away from them, remove tape.

Just as a general point on cut fabrics, there is a product called 'fray stopper' or you can try clear nail varnish, or, and i haven't tried this but prob works, if emergency, watered down pva. Test a small unobtrusive area first.

The tip about magic tape sounds good, thanks ill try that!
