Hi
Bought a new Cassese underpinner earlier this year.
The head of the underpinner does not line up correctly with the guides. It sits so far over to the left that i can get my finger between the head and the guide on the right hand side.
This has been corrected twice by the supplier but within 3 frames it is back to its original position.

Anyone else had this issue and more importantly, anyone know the fix

What model?

I picked up a secondhand underpinner from Hayling Frames 2 weeks ago, he was having big problems with his new pneumatic cassese underpinner model? they had supplied him temporarily with a 88 so he could carry on production.

Its the Cassese One. Manual so nothing much to go wrong.

Cassese have sent out a modification but it just doesnt work.

I can't quite visualise the problem. Any chance of a photo?

The left hand side of the arm is tight up against the guide. as you can see there is a huge gap on the right.
Not too bad when joining flat mouldings but a nightmare when using scoops.

On my cassese on1e the part you refer to is magnetic and can be taken off and slid backwards and forwards, it's the top part which comes down to clamp the top of the moulding

There's usually a problem with scoops, I use an inverted mirror image of the scoop on top to hold in place. There's a thread on here which discusses other methods for scoops set-top.
