Hi,

Are there plans (I think it would be very useful) to link the mouldings table to the order sheet to facilitate some form of stock control, simply by a reduction method?

I know it is not possible to keep accurate track due to spoils or short lengths but it would give the framer some idea as to what moulding were used in a particular day or week??

Hi Jack,

I have thought long and hard about stock control and feel that the place for it is in the workshop rather than in a point of sale program such as EstLite.

Certainly, EstLite can make an estimate of quantities of materials required for each job, but in the real world these estimates would be inaccurate in many, if not all, cases. The cumulative effect of these errors would render an integrated stock control system useless.

Every version from 6.11 now has basic moulding stock control.
