Moulding ID

Post by Framing Frenzie »

Does anyone recognize this moulding please? It's 70mm across the front and 20mm up the back.

Could be this http://www.djsimons.co.uk/index.php?rou ... h=k%2F0412

It doesn't look flat in the photos, but it is!

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I ordered a length of that thinking I was pretty confident it was that. It's not. It's too cream. The one to copy is really white. Will keep looking.

You could just paint it white. We have done that before on different batches with different colour shades

I was asked to match a very similar moulding on a frame which came as a package deal from a photographic company. The customer wanted another item framed to match, but the photographic company quoted a very high price, so the customer came to see if I could obtain the same moulding and I could not.

It is possible that this moulding is specially produced, or specially imported for a particular company, with the intention that it won't be available elsewhere.

I did buy it from Radius a year or so ago. They said they don't have it anymore. So I thought I could find it amongst the other suppliers. Jumped on that one from Simons and it's wrong. Might look at painting it, like you say. Thanks for your messages anyway.
