Newish glass cutting wheel and its carrier is, from time to time, falling out of the cutting assembly when scoring standard glass. Any thoughts?

Is the little pin which holds the wheel in that is falling out?If it is blob of superglue eitherside helps.

No its the wheel, pin and triangular carrier all as one that is falling out of the sprung brass block.

Yes, but that assembly is held in with the pin which is just a tight fit in the block, so it's either not pushed in properly or the slot is too wide/pin too narrow.

Can also do this if there's too much pressure on the cutting wheel, when it gets to the bottom of the cut it is Jared out

The rod that goes though to form the axle is flattened on each end. You have to have the flat
parts at the correct angle so as to fit into the slot in the main block. If you have it flats-up the triangle
part will go in so far but the axle will not locate in the slot firmly. If this isn't the problem then you could
make it a tighter fit by giving it a delicate tap to form a tiny burr on one or both of the flats.

Or buy a new wheel, they are about £9 not much compared to a new holder!
